- Contoured shin plate protector is injected with high-modulus PU for a high level of impact and abrasion resistance.
- Reinforced leather plate runs along rear of the boot.
- Extended inside and outside plate guards the side and toe-box area of the boot.
- Calf plate designed for maximum grip, support and side contact.
- Patented “ankle-brace” system with shock absorbing ankle padding.
- Internal plastic reinforcement on the inner side of the boot is covered by thick stamped suede for increased grip and heat resistance.
- Instep flex-zone stitched for maximum support.

- Alpinestars’ exclusive high grip rubber double density compound outsole with a contoured tempered steel shank over injected inside the assembly insole.

Good:
Sizing is spot on and the boot will loosen up and become extremely comfortable. The tech 3's are definitely some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. The boot is very flexible and not stiff like some boots. Break in is very quick. This is also a great looking boot! It looks very similar to its bigger brother tech 10's.
Bad:
The buckles can be difficult sometimes and may require a little bit of a tap to snap in place. These boots are very durable for their price, but even so, the sole will start to wear out and so will some of the plastic on the boot. Even worse, the soles are not replaceable. Protection is great for the pricing, but not as good as some mid-priced boots.
Conclusion:
Great boot. Great price. If you are looking for a solid boot for a cheap price, look no further. This entry level priced boot will outdo most mid level priced boots. If you can afford a little more to splurge on the tech 7's, dont. These will do just fine.

Good:
First off, the design of the Tech 3 boot is hot!
Extremely comfortable and fits just like a shoe would. Customizable color is one thing that is so cool about these boots.
They are waterproof which makes for quick cleaning and drying in between motos.
May be stiff first hour that you were them, but the Tech 3 loosens up quick for maximum comfort.
Bad:
The Tech 3's are durable for about 5 or 6 months(depends on how hard you ride, and how often), but the rubber near the soul will start to come off the boot. The top buckle can be hard to buckle after awhile.
Conclusion:
Tech 3's are the best boot i have ever worn. Durable for even the hardest rider out there. I have compared the Tech 10 to the tech 3, and really, the only difference that i found is price. Definitly worth the price, and they are a steal for the quality of boot that you are getting! Definitly a must buy for starting riders to the pro's, because the Tech 3 is a great boot and Alpinestar's did an amazing job designing the boot. They give you maximum support and protection for a great price!
