Smith Optics and the NEW Fuel v.2 Goggle

Smith Optics, a leader in off-road goggle technology, has something special that will surely spice things up this Fall. New for ’09 / ‘10 is our innovative and incredibly modernistic line of the NEW Fuel v.2 goggle.
Smith Optics has done a little updating with the Fuel and here are a couple new features that bring the v.2 to the Fuel goggle:

1. Ergonomic Outrigger Positioning System
a: Months of rigorous R&D testing resulted in a completely new way of approaching goggle fit and helmet integration. The outrigger design draws the strap forward and away from the goggle frame to distribute pressure evenly against the face and provide a secure, perfect fit in all helmet face ports

2. Updated Frame Design
a: Balancing sculpted lines with exhaustive engineering, the Fuel v.2 allows design to follow function – a priority here at Smith. Frame contours optimize fit and comfort while promoting just the right amount of airflow to keep your vision clear and fog-free.
*Although the frame has received a facelift, the Fuel v.2 utilizes the same lens as all the Fuel goggles.

The Fuel v.2 will be available in four fresh, new graphics: Pastrana Signature, Orange/White Air Retro, Black Day of the Dead and Neon Synth and one new Sweat X colorway, Cyan / Black.

Along with the four new graphics, the Emerald Ink & Daggers, Black/Red Dots and Black Zebrah will also be available as we move forward into the New Year. The Graphic Series and Sweat-X models are just two of the 7 that will be available in the new v.2 and to go along with the 7 models; the Fuel v.2 will have 50 configurations priced from $40-$80.

Additionally, the Fuel v.2 Graphic & Sweat X Series comes with F.A.T. 3-layer sweat foam that makes for a perfect fit and seal tight to keep dirt out, along with a specially designed custom woven double-wide silicone strap that utilizes our new Stay-put Strap Retainer. The new Stay-put Strap Retainer joins the straps together and molds to the back of your helmet to keep the goggles firmly in place. Finally, each Graphic Series goggle comes with our Sensor mirrored lens.
